One of the most dynamic, evolving parts of Bristol those familiar with the city from years gone by would struggle to recognise it now. The latest addition is the shipping container community of Wapping Wharf which hosts some of the best newcomers to Bristol’s food and drink scene. The docks have a long maritime history and the harbourside is the place to immerse yourself in all things nautical. Regular water ferries connect quiet pockets of waterfront tranquillity to noisy, more vibrant ones. Many of Bristol’s major tourist attractions can be found here; with the M Shed, SS Great Britain, We are the Curious, Aquarium, Watershed and Arnolfini arts centre all positioned close to the water’s edge.
